  1. Oh barf. More lies. If it's an honor and privilege to serve then she wouldn't be blatantly ignoring the will of her constituents.

  2. It is amazing that Cherie somehow thinks that because (IF we believe her, to begin with) some people have supported her Un-American actions, that somehow that makes it all okay.

Two, or three or? people being Un-American doesn't make it any more okay.

Because people leave their home countries to go join ISIS means ISIS is okay?

What a clue-less idiot she is. And those that support her.

  3. The Peninsula Daily News has spent so much time propping up Cherie Kidd that I guess it's only fair that she throws a few advertising dollars their way.

It's another great day to be incompetent in Port Angeles!

  4. This ad by Cherie is more sad than pathetic for several reasons: First, for her false perception of herself as someone who actually brings vision, leadership and competence to the City Council and this idea that she has strong grass roots support. Truth: the bar has been set so low, by us the voters, we have allowed people like Cherie to yield power and authority. She is not the problem, she is a symptom of the problem. The problem is us, the voters who have allowed a "lowest common denominator" situation to develop in our community. We've all heard the phrase "we get the government we deserve". Nothing will change until WE change and demand more from our leaders. Its easy to say that Cherie is clueless. The harder question involves changing our conversation and vetting process for potential leaders. We are not going to shame Cherie out of office - clearly she is clueless and thinks she is doing a great service. Our conversation has to change to a more thoughtful, measured and strategic one. Ultimately, the answer is replacing current Council members with new leaders, - not changing to a 2nd Class City.

  5. There could not be a more stupid deranged fool than Cherie Kidd.

What do you suppose would be her diagnoses (plural) from the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders)?

    1. Certainly at the very least acute narcissism.

    2. Dementia, according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders IV (DSM-IV), is a syndrome that may be caused or characterized by: Multiple cognitive deficits, which include memory impairment and at least one of the following: aphasia, apraxia, agnosia or disturbance in executive functioning.

Make that two orders of "disturbance of executive functioning" a la Neurocognitive Disorder cocktail.

  6. PAPA TV has started uploading their content to Youtube. Here's Cherie's first show: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xgB4IgNkF9c

You may notice that comments for her videos have been disabled, while the rest of the PAPA uploads allow them.

    1. Oh, Good Lord...Be ready for lots of aerial shots of Port Angeles (which is best seen from a distance), and lots and lots of scenes of an awkward Cherie, who doesn't quite know what to do with her hands, pinwheeling her arms like a spastic scarecrow.

And yes, no comments are allowed.

It has been viewed four times.

    2. Is PAPA not allowing comments on their Youtube posts?!?!

      This I cannot believe.

    5. Whomever produces Cherie's shows OWNS those shows. Whomever owns those shows puts them on youtube. PAPA has no "say-so" as to what is put up on youtube. PAPA has no control on allowing or not allowing comments.

      Delete
    6. Whomever produces Cherie's shows has complete ownership of those shows and can put them where ever they choose. If comments are allowed or not is up to the independent producer. PAPA has no control over this aspect of the programs. PAPA MUST broadcast any programming provided them.

    7. I want to support PAPA as I think it at least brings recordings if nothing else of meetings for those who weren't able to be present. This also helps hold the government agencies accountable of they know they will be documented. But if they are going to act just like the PDN and disable comments, then I wonder about their transparency and who they are protecting. I don't care if Cherie has a show and that was her demand - that comments be disabled - part of the agreement to have a show on there should be that it must be open and transparent and allow ALL perspectives and comments to be shared. That should be the condition and if a wanna be show host doesn't like it - then no show. It's very telling. Either she demanded it, or somebody at PAPA is a crony and is protecting her. Either way they just lost tons of credibility points.

    8. Ah...well they can disable the comments but not the "thumbs down" so go give it your all!

    9. Ugg - I quickly scrolled through, stopping whenever she changed guests. her voice is even worse than I could have imagined and she can't stop fussing with her hair or know what to do with her hands. Hasn't anyone ever told her she needs to take a public speaking course or join Toastmasters and understand how to lower her voice and speak in a calm, moderate tone, rather than that shrieky cackle? Neither does she understand that nobody wants to see her dried out dessicated corpse - if she really wanted to highlight PA, then find someone who can actually speak to do voiceovers and SHOW us Port Angeles. This is just a dog and pony show for her narcissism. I feel bad for the folks she was interviewing. You could tell they wanted to do the right thing.

Enable comments on Cherie's Positively Puke.
We'd all like to tell her what we really feel about this detraction from our community. Might as well have a naked preacher, and a few doomsday promoters, while we're trying to look like a nutball town.

    14. Hi Anon 9:23

Thanks! Just for the record, I've had absolutely nothing to do with the production, editing or work that went to putting that on Youtube.

I will be meeting with those who put it on Youtube, tomorrow, and will find out what this is about.

I can assure you that those of us that have put so much work into creating PAPA have facilitating the public having more ways to voice their views as a primary objective. Unlike the PDN, we give voice to everyone, including Cherie Kidd.

We're doing everything we can to give you a forum. No one is getting paid. We invite everyone in the community to make use of PAPA.

I'm glad you're involved enough to be upset. I wish more were,

      Tyler

As with ISIS, we must declare war on Cherie Kidd. This is no time for political correctness. The time has come to take the gloves off and fight!

    1. probably the city did, just like we paid for her attorney that she didn't need because the whole ethics thing has no teeth, and there is nothing in jeopardy.

      Delete
    2. She didn't need an attorney because she was in the wrong and should have just apologized and done what was right. That would have avoided an attorney, so SHE wasted her constituents' money.

      Delete
    3. I know. Being concerned that you elected representatives lie to you, and make every effort to silence you is such a non-issue. "no teeth", indeed. "nothing in jeopardy" but the very thing we hold up to other countries around the world, and our soldiers have died for.

  10. My mom cut this out of the paper also after reading it. She handed it to me and said "here's one for Petey." Since Petey is a one legged ,one eyed sparrow that the cat tried to kill a couple of years ago I'm presuming she wants me to line the bird cage with it.

  13. We all agree, we'd like to take pot shots at Cherie and maybe other broadcasters on PAPA Television. Knowing this-- the producer chooses not to subject his production or his talent to malicious comments. It is the producer's choice.
Each of the hosts of the many shows on PAPA will decide whether to put their programs on youtube. Each will decide if they want to enable comments. I also think anyone commenting on a program or a performer should have to identify themselves--maybe even a photo--so others have a chance to criticize commenters and their comments. These producers are putting themselves out there for what they perceive is the good of the community. Constructive feedback is always welcome.
Personal attacks on volunteers is poor form.
Give it a chance to find its space.
