We Are Fully (Dys)Functional! - AKA - Up, Up and Away...From Reality

File under, "Yes, But...":

The work this weekend ”allows us to regain full use of the airport,” said John Nutter, director of finance and administration for the port.

What is full use for an airport with no airlines flying into it? Does this mean the empty, unused building will sit there more fully and efficiently? What?

Do these people even think before they speak? Do they hear the nonsense that comes pouring out of their mouths? I mean, with this one short statement, John Nutter more than lives up to his name.

Breaking news! Now that this heavy gravestone that was sitting
on top of him has been removed, soon Jolson will sing again!
Please stay tuned for further developments in this exciting story!

  1. Dear CK,
In this case "use" is a noun meaning "the state of being used for some purpose". and since the port, and by extension the airport, just like the city or the county, is really just an extension of the people, what the port is saying is once again there are no excuses to prevent the full use of the the people's credulity and pocketbooks.

    1. Thank you, Professor, for that deeply thoughtful and troubling explanation.

    2. Therefore, we the Port need more of your money, to make it our money!

An airport with no airline service in now fully functional.

  3. He was obviously referring to the (media reported) issue of nighttime instrument approaches (but not departures apparently). The question in this little logging scam is: what did the FAA actually say to the Port, versus what's the Port's fabricated storyline?

The interesting dynamic of power-based threats in PA seems to be that you immediately capitulate by not asking any questions. But the funny part is that they don't ever tell you what will happen if questions are asked. Likely because, like id-based children, they themselves have no idea.

Just another great dysfunctional day in PA, LOL!

  4. The problem the airport faces is not that it isn't FLYable; it's that it isn't VIABLE.

That's why airlines keep pulling out. That's why airlines keep declining to service it. Study after study and bitter experience have shown that Port Angeles is just too small, too remote, and too rinky dink to support any sort of commercial air service.

That's it. That's all. No great mystery. Everything else is just smoke and mirrors. The trees were removed because some connected local was going to make a buck out of it. That's all. No great mystery.

Lincoln Park isn't a park at all. It's just another piece of the ongoing scam that is Port Angeles. The town that history passed by.

  5. And what about all the money Dan Gase got paid to...do whatever it was he was getting paid thousands of dollars a month to do? Wasn't he supposed to drum up business for the airport or some such thing? Weren't those public dollars, too? How many ways can they scam the residents here? Related to that, how much will the people here allow themselves to be bled before shouting STOP? I don't see that happening any time soon, so why would the scammers let up? For those without any scruples and the right connections, Port Angeles is a great hovel to hang out in. Take the money and (eventually) run. That, or run for office.

The scamsters dream up new ways to scam money from the Feds, the State, the residents, whom ever they can. And like magic, it all just becomes a new day again, with new scams.

  11. Congratulations "Crypt Kicker!" This blog is now being monitored for hate speech and harassment and the IP addresses of all commenters here are being traced. A Seattle media attorney recently viewed the content of this blog and called it "textbook cyber-bullying and harassment." So you're going to learn two very important lessons in 2017: 1. that your first amendment right really does have limitations, and 2. That there is no true anonymity on the internet. Anyway, you keep doing your thing. Enjoy the party while it lasts!

    Just a friendly FYI.

    1. Gosh, I guess your attorney doesn't really have a good understanding of "hate speech," Mary. Or harassment, either. What a lame attorney! You're getting swindled, Mary! And by a "media attorney," too, which only makes it worse - getting swindled by a TV lawyer. Might I suggest you have my friend, Jim Rockford, private investigator, look into whether or not this so-called attorney really is licensed to practice law?

As for Unearthed being "monitored," well, again - GOSH. I mean, this is here for people to read, so if you want to call "reading" this blog (which you do) "monitoring" it, that's fine, Mary, just fine. Because, as we all know, actual monitoring would mean someone is getting paid to monitor it. And we all know that just isn't happening. No one is putting up a single nickel to PAY anyone to "monitor" this blog. Especially not for "hate speech." (Tip: Just because it's speech you hate doesn't make it hate speech. Got it?)

As for tracing the IP addresses of all the people who comment here ANONYMOUSLY...That would be quite a feat. Not impossible, I'm sure, but not something that anyone, anywhere is devoting resources to, Mary. You know it, and I know it, and the readers of this blog know it.

Your sad, pathetic little attempt to "scare" me is just that - sad and pathetic. Oh, and obvious. SO obvious. If you really wanted this blog to go away, and you really had a "media lawyer" "monitoring" Unearthed, and if it was really full of actionable "hate speech," well then, you'd hardly give me a heads up, would you? No. You'd just let the roof fall in on me.

But, since NONE of what you say is true, Mary, all your message means is that you're bluffing, trying to sound like you know what you're talking about, and trying to scare me into just running away.

All of which is, as a certain orange-hued buffoon would say, "Sad!" But hey, thanks for reading, Mary, and thanks for the note.

    2. Seems certain misguided ones think they can shut down the interwebs because it nudges them toward public figures and/or exposes illegal activities. The worst thing you can do to a bad actor is expose them for what they are. That's not bullying, that's not harassment, that's LIFE. Take your political correctness elsewhere.

    3. "Mary Everson", that's not a "friendly FYI", that's a very lame scare tactic. Sounds like you're the bully here.

    4. Now, we do remember Mary, from her efforts to defend Adam before:

      " Crypt Kicker April 26, 2017 at 4:11 PM

Mary Everson anyone? She sent in a comment defending Adam Chamberlin, convicted felon, that I’m not going to allow. Does the name ring any bells? She has a Blogger profile…That has never been viewed since being created in October of 2016."

So, it is the Adam Chamberlin fan club of wacko women, at it again.

      Obsessive? Obviously.

      Vindictive? Clearly.

And threatening? It seems that is all this group at "Our Town" know to do. Find some way to bully and threaten people they don't like or agree with, to try to make them go away.

Tolerance for others? Are you kidding? It is their way, their views, their crowd, their town. Everyone else is to be chased down, hunted down, threatened, called up, threatened, intimidated, chased away by what ever means possible.

Isn't that what the Nazi party was all about? Eliminating everything that did not fit into their views?

    5. Online harassment, sometimes referred to as “cyberharassment,” pertains to threatening or harassing emails, instant messages, or website entries. It is often repeated attempts to target a specific person by directly contacting them, or indirectly using or disseminating their otherwise protected personal information.

So where is the big "textbook" case?
And exactly who is targeted? I don't see any articles about you.

Please. "Mary," your comments are one of the saddest attempts to intimidate that I've ever seen. Sad, indeed. the truth hurts, eh "Mary"?

    8. I don't know, folks...I just came home for lunch, and there was a certified letter waiting for me. It's some sort of cease and desist order from a Perry Mason, Media Attorney at Law, Seattle branch. I'll have to take a better look at it and get back to you all...

    10. Mary is as nutty as peanut butter. First, she probably doesn't know a URL if it bit her in her ass. Second, she doesn't seem to realize that Blogger (and Word Press) is the intermediate, and they are reluctant to open their records for the FEDS, much less some second-rate, frustrated, middle-aged woman on the Olympic Peninsula. OR, HER "media lawyer".

(Hey, dingbat, what you want is a slander/libel expert -- and they'd tell you "meh".)

This is, unfortunately, the kind of person who people associate with Port Angeles.

      Mary: please move.

    11. LOL, and this blog has nothing whatsoever to do with public concerns. How the hell you gonna prive that?

    12. Mary also overplays her (admittedly nonexistent) hand badly. I mean, if you're going to come after this blog, you're, duh, going to come after me. But when she says "all IP addresses here...are being traced" that's just ridiculous.

As an FYI to you folks, Mary has also sent in another rambling threat message that I didn't allow through. In it she says this blog has been "cited" in "two anti-harassment orders that came across her desk," and is an "exhibit" in a "libel suit that's been pending since last October." That's a LOT of pending, Mary. And it would be a LOT of spending. Who's putting that kind of money out to keep a lawyer working on this blog - secretly, behind the scenes, so that I haven't heard anything, and since last October? That would be...Nobody. Nobody is doing that. So the only thing that's coming across your desk is...Well, that depends on who you have visiting you, I guess.

I'd say "nice try" Mary, but it's not even really that. Now, as I said earlier, you send some documentation along, and we'll talk. In the meantime, say hi to Adam Chamberlin (the convicted felon) for us, won't you? And tell him to take it easy on your desk! Gross!

    13. Wouldn't "cyber bullying" involve someone sending messages to someone else, and trying to actively contact them (or bully them) in unwanted ways? All CK does here is host a forum. I doubt that he (or she?) has ever so much as rung someone's doorbell and run. There's no bullying here. But there's sure been some bullshit offered up recently by "Mary". Maybe CK could get YOU, "Mary" for "cyber bullshitting"?

    14. Hey, who is bullying who, here? Clearly Adams' bitch, Mary.

Who is threatening who here? Clearly, Adams' bitch, Mary.

If anybody has obvious , well documented grounds for "bullying" and "threatening", it is CK (and others) that Mary, Adam Chamberlin and the "Our Town" crew have put in writing. Look back at what they have done.

Perry Mason? Where are you when we need you?

  16. Nutter also said the Port is buying the trees from the city.
How can that be if the Port already paid the local cutters $300K?
Heckova job, Mr. Gase! Did you "cut" that deal too?

And that the next round of cutting will be by public bidding process.
Sure, after the local yokels already got their take.

BTW, did the FAA really shut down night ops? Or did the Port sorta tip them off to a great "emergency" excuse to raid the public till?

  19. There are two runways and two aproaches to the airport. Something the Port Convienently left out of their emergency freakout for the city council. The other runway , runway8? Was never closed for instrument takeoff or landing. If Mary has any trouble getting my IP address please feel free to give her my email address and I will be happy to send it to her if she emails me and asks nicely...uses please and thank you . Just address your request to "Queen of the Universe", Mary

    1. Yes, Bif, you are 100% correct that the airport has never been actually "shut down" or unusable. In the hypothetical "emergency" they always use to scare people, they (City, Port, etc.) ALWAYS conveniently ignore that little fact.

As for Miss Madam Chamberlin...I think all "IP" means to her is "I'm pissed!" or possibly "I'm pouting!" Either way, don't worry about it. She's just a bent gent who needs to vent. Bullies gotta bully, right?
