Toxic Teresa, the (Former) Guardian of the Gate

As has been pointed out by others, Teresa Pierce is tight with the aforementioned Karen Rogers. Does anyone doubt that she has been a steady and reliable source of inside information to Rogers since she left the City Council? If you do doubt that, could I interest you in buying some prime real estate down on the waterfront, in the shadow of the Glenn Cutler Memorial Turd Tank?

Anyway, Karen Rogers obviously enjoys pulling the strings with her fat little fingers, so on the surface, the notion that she’d be losing her City Hall harlot seems like a loser for both Pierce (her job) and for Rogers (her inside source). It also seems like a loser for Pierce to make her ridiculous bid for permanent disability status due to the supposed “harassment” she has experienced at City Hall. After all, her right-wing chums like Rogers and Dick Pilling look down on that sort of thing. So what gives?

First of all, let me tell you, the claims that Pierce has made about Brad Collins “sexually harassing” her are laughable. They are almost certainly pure fiction. Some of you may have seen the email going around from a former City Hall insider explaining that Teresa never complained about Don Perry’s ongoing commentary on her looks and attractiveness. If she’s just SO sensitive that now she needs to be on permanent disability, you’d think that Don’s constant panting and whistling would have had her in the vapors years ago. So her claims don’t pass the smell test.

So again, what gives?

Here’s what I take away from all this. First, though she is a loathsome and poisonous person, Teresa Pierce is not entirely foolish. She knows her disability claim will go nowhere, but in the meantime, it sure does dress up her attempt to extort some cash from the City.

Second, I doubt that Rogers would let her leave if she was still being a useful minion. But now that Kent Myers is long gone, Glenn Cutler is gone, Larry Dunbar is gone, it seems like Karen Rogers might – I say might – be throwing in the towel at City Hall. Think about it this way too: If her only reason to have her hands on city business was to skim some money off, how much more can there be to skim when the City is so incredibly deep in debt?

Finally, speaking of money, I think that Teresa’s ham-handed attempt to extort $100,000 from the City has a “me too” feel to it. As in, did she hear talk (like I have) about the City settling with Yvonne Ziomkowski, and think “me too”? I suspect so. I also suspect that Rogers will have promised some sort of job or financial reward to Pierce as part of this.

So share what you know, what you’ve heard. Tell us the truth about Toxic Teresa.

  1. I was in and around City Hall a LOT years ago, before and during the time Cutler, Rogers and the rest decided to re-arrange City Hall. THAT would be interesting to investigate, by itself. Why? Who benefited from the "shake up", etc

As most know, Brad Collins used to be City staff in those days. So was Teresa. Brad lost his job with the city when Cutler and crew shook things up. Brad left Port Angeles after that, for a couple years.

But, while I was in City Hall back then, Teresa seemed to love any attention she got. Smiled like a happy cat when ever people said nice things about how she looked, what she was wearing, and so on.

Her complaint doesn't mention when she and Brad were both working together as City Staff.

    1. Yes, it would appear that Brad was somehow able to hold his raging desire for Teresa in check for all the time he worked at the City. It only became uncontrollable once he seized the reins of ultimate power and got...appointed to the...Port Angeles City Council. Clearly the awesome power of that position made him think he was a God.

    2. Yes. Anyone who follows City Council meetings, or---GASP!--- has actually attended one, has seen how Brad dominates the meetings.

In fact, many of us expected Brad to BE more vocal.

  2. I suspect that Teresa leaked the preliminary investigation report to Rogers, and then Kent, being the good little hand puppet he was, covered up that exposure of the City Hall-Karen Rogers radio system by saying he sent it. That way it sounded like a misstep instead of just one part of an ongoing communication system.

    1. It's an interesting theory if nothing else. No matter what, the way Myers sent the report to Rogers was ultra sleazy.

Of course, what do you expect from a guy who was hired illegally in executive session?

  3. Teresa Pierce ought to be FINED $100,000 for her YEARS of obstruction and delay in fulfilling legal, valid public records requests. The city's record on this is absolutely shameful, and she is a huge part of that.

And if the city does pay her, with tax dollars, then can we do a public records request on any and all paperwork (if there really is any) related to her claims?

  4. Is Teresa Pierce married? If so, does anyone know anything about her husband? I know she likes to pretend to be churchy churchy goody goody. Kind of funny, since she's so nasty in so many ways. She's the kind who doesn't hug people - she's just looking for a good place to stick the knife in.

  5. If this (going public with her ridiculous claims) is the end result anyway, I'm kind of surprised that Pierce didn't go public BEFORE the election. You'd think the only thing the Rogers crowd would like more than reining Brad in would be to drive him out - again. Maybe they didn't have any right wing nut that was willing to run against him?

    1. Maybe she gets her kicks having someone under her thumb?

  6. Don't get me wrong. I totally appreciate what you're trying to do here.

BUT - the problem in Port Angeles and Clallam County is that there are just SO MANY bad people to deal with, outing them all in some way is going to take years and years. Meanwhile, they will be replenishing their ranks.

    So good luck, but...

    1. "...replenishing their ranks." HA! Good one! I'd say though, it's nice seeing SOME new interesting faces in town, but the dryer sheet smell everywhere is getting just a tad annoying.

  7. She must have really changed. When I lived in Port Angeles, I tried to start a neighborhood watch program. Everyone would laugh at me, say things like, "Man, do you want to drive up the cost of meth, and increase crime!" She was the only one who would listen to me. I'm so glad I moved. What a loser town. Maybe she will change, get some help, get a good job there, with some power. Good luck with your website!

    1. Sure, Teresa would listen to you. That was her job. She was the eyes and ears for the city manager's office, and for Karen Rogers. She'd even listen to Peter Ripley when he came by to make moon eyes at her. But it doesn't mean she cared. She was just doing her job, and trolling for information.

Oh, and doing everything she could to slow down and obstruct public records requests.

  8. Gosh, since Teresa's comp/vacation/BS time ran out Friday, I sure hope she's able to afford breakfast this morning. I just hate the thought of someone who has given so much (to Karen Rogers) having to do without!

  9. Awww! Poor lying Teresa is out of accrued leave. Isn't that too bad? Now I guess she'll have to go out and try and find a real job, like the rest of us poor slobs she's shown so much disdain for over the years she worked in city hall.

I hope she's broke, and doesn't get a dime from the city. But they're such dopes, they could cash out. I trust Brad Collins would have to recuse himself from the vote on any settlement payment?

  10. I have never had a pleasant exchange with the snippy Ms. T.P. She also made some decisions which changed how to access various city resources (like the zoning, code and laws) on the web that made them much less user-friendly, and much more difficult to find anything useful. No real reason why, except that she is computer illiterate. I don't see that she ever DID her job. So, good riddance, and yeah, right, she was "harassed". She thinks highly of herself, doesn't she? She can be sharp and mean and nasty to anyone outside city hall, I'm sure she could have been just as ill-tempered to Mr. Collins to thwart his so-called advances. The woman is NOT a victim. She's a bully.
